Tairah- You are so welcome. This site is free and people can stream tv shows in many languages. He reveals his mysterious “tale of woe” in a brilliant way. I’ve never heard of this, I’ll have to check it out. Thanks for the good review on Anne of Green Gables the continuing story. I have rarely bought a movie on its release date but I HAD to buy this! Have you watched ‘ the jane austen book club ‘?it is very nice. ), according to your advice .I watched Poldark,Brooklyn vanity fair I’ve seen it a few times and honestly can’t wait to see it again! It is not an easy film to watch, and you might consider it immoral – Julien Sorel, the main character seduces women to rise in society – but the actors’ work is excellent, and it is a great drama, done very well. Truthfully, I should probably just take Scents and Sensibility down—it’s bit out of place! Austenland is much better, but I have a love and hate relationship with that 2013 movie. I’ll leave your comment here for those interested in other movies like: Clueless, 10 Things I Hate About You, and Prada to Nada. Thanks again! and These Three Remain .All 3 are Mr Darcy’s story of how he and Elizabeth met and the change he went through to win her heart .They are beautifully written and follow the story Jane Austen origionally wrote. I would also add the 2015 “Cinderella” to this list! Heartbreaking but beautiful. Hope thiese were not mentioned. I’m glad you enjoy the list!! . I will say that the first episode or two are maybe a tad bit cheesy, so just get through the first 3 episodes and you will never regret watching it! I also want to ask if you know any shows/TV series that fit this quality and genre of entertainment that aren’t on the list, PLEASE list them below so I can check them out! Downton Abbey (DVD and Instant Access)- Most people are aware of how wonderful this series is. One I did not see on your list is Berkley Square – a series about Edwardian era nannies – very well done – I purchased the DVD’s from the BBC Canada site. Sarah- I have a weak stomach and couldn’t handle the graphic nature of call the midwife. Belgravia is an entertaining series based in the Victorian age. I will note for parents of children and teens that there are a few adult scenes throughout the seasons. Perhaps it´s a tricky one but I would be so happy if you, or someone out there, could tell me the title! Have you seen Cranford, Daniel Deronda, Under the Greenwood Tree or Sweet Land? If you focus on the themes of growth, forgiveness, repentance, selflessness, and true love, this will become a favorite. Have you seen Lady Jane? I am a fan of some of the Catherine Cookson novels that have been made into movies, though the film and/or sound quality is poor in some. I enjoyed it because of the era in which it is set, and the Austen-esque theme of the quest to find a husband. It’s amazing to pay a visit this site and reading Christy– Granted it has been awhile and I need to re-watch this movie. Ok–I know this post is about 5 years old, but I do have another suggestion I think you would LOVE, book made into a movie on Netflix–The Gurnsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. I really love the costumes, cinematography, and some of the characters. Daphne Du Maurier’s Rebecca (1995 I think)with Emilia Fox. I’m sad they ended it. Miss Austen Regrets– Although Miss Austen is better than Becoming Jane, I still wasn’t 100% convinced of Austen’s character portrayal. Also another love and hate movie for me is, Atonement.
